Sanei Chemical Industry is established as a lacquer specialty plant (in Horie Nishi-ku Osaka-shi).
1938
Sanei Chemical Industry Corporation is moved to Fuse-shi and plant facilities are reinforced.
1945
Daia Seiko Incorporated is established (in Shinmachi Nabari-shi).
1947
Daia Seiko Incorporated is renamed to Mie Yushikakou Incorporated Nakamura head office and factory are completed (in Minowa Nakamura Nabari-shi).
1954
Mie Yushikakou Incorporated bought out Sanei Chemical Industry Corporation.
1957
Okitsumo started to commercialize heat resistant paint "Okitsumo" and starts to sell it.
1964
Shigeji Yamanaka, Okitsumo's president (at the time) passed away. Katsutoshi Yamanaka took office as president.
1987
The company name is renamed Okitsumo Incorporated. The log design is renewed.
1990
The current head office company building is completed.
1992
Nabari 21 Century Television Incorporated, a cable television provider, is set up.
1994
Okitsumo USA Incorporated is established in the U.S.A.

Okitsumo International (Asia) Co., Ltd. is established in Thailand.

Okitech Incorporated is established.

Okitsumo received the International Quality Management System Standard ISO 9001 certification.

Katsutoshi Yamanaka took office as chief executive officer and top manager. Tomio Izuoka took office as president. Japan Hydrotect Coatings Incorporated, a joint venture company involving photocatalyst business with TOTO Kiki Ltd. (current TOTO LTD.), is established.

Shigeharu Yamanaka took office as president.

Zhongshan Okitsumo Co., Ltd. is established in Zhongshan, China.

Nabari 21 Century Television Incorporated, a cable television provider, is renamed to Advanscope Incorporated.

Okitsumo Incorporated is chosen as one of the 300 Dynamic Monozukuri SMEs in Japan by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Small and Medium Enterprise Agency.
2007
Okitsumo Tintas Do Brasil Ltda. is established in Manaus, Brazil. Japan Hydrotect Coatings Incorporated, a joint venture company involving photocatalyst business with TOTO LTD., is renamed to TOTO Okitsumo Coatings Co., Ltd.
2008
Okitsumo Inc. India Liaison Office (Okitsumo resident officer's office) is established in Gurgaon, India. Okitech Incorporated Takinohara Plant is established in Takinohara Nabari-shi, Mie.
2011
Katsutoshi Yamanaka is appointed director and senior advisor. Okitsumo Paint (Changshu) Co., Ltd. is established.

Katsutoshi Yamanaka, director and senior advisor, received the Order of the Rising Sun.

Okitsumo is chosen as one of Global Niche Top 100 Companies (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The show room Okini is opened at the site of the head office.
