also using lacquer thinner?

| 1. When I dilute thinner(or clean painting
tools, is it safe also using lacquer thinner? |
There is the dissolving one and the one does not dissolve according to
the paint.
Basically we ask you to use okitsumo specified thinner listed in the paint specification.
However, if you only have a lacquer thinner, please do a confirmation test if
it dissolves or not.
<Test method>
- Take a little quantity of thinner in the container.
- Drop a couple of drips into the container.
- a.You can use it if the paint spreads over.
b.You can not use it if the paint became solid.
Note? Lacquer thinner usually dries faster than okitsumo thinner, so we would
count on you to adjust the dilution of thinner. |
| 2. Is it possible to use same thinner for both primer and top coat

| Basically the paint film can perform the best when specified thinner written
in the catalogue has been used, but in case of silver top coat whose dilution
rate is 0 to 10%, it is enough to use thinner only for the primer coat. It is
likely to be able to use the same thinner, so please contact

| 3. What is the difference of 50 and 100 thinner? |
| The speed of dryness is different. (50 thinner is faster than 100.) |

| Please use thinner with fast dryness in a day when humidity is low.( Please
put the amount of thinner to become a viscosity in which it works easily.) Please
take the painting interval longer than usual time. |
| 7. We want to paint your photocatalyst paint on externals of the
building. |
Our photocatalyst paint “Eco-tio” is painted on the guardrail and the
aluminum interception wall, and it removes oxide of nitrogen(NOx) such as vehicle

| 8. Is it all right to paint on the plant while it is working (painting
object is still hot.) because there is not much time? |
| We advise you to paint when temperature of the object is normal because a
brush became solid by the paint while painting. |
| 9. We want to paint a clear on the cylinder cover with cold curing. |
| You need to bake the painted material because automobile parts may diminish
the gloss or soften the film that adhered gasoline and oil before stiffening
the film after the cold curing. |
| 10. How do you use 1 layer coat and 2 layers coat properly? |
| We will basically recommend 1 layer coat for the room and 2 layers coat for
outdoor. Corrosion resistance and adhesion will improve by 2 layers coat. However,
we will recommend 2 layers coat to the place where corrosion resistance is required
even in a room. |
| 11. May I paint as it is though an old paint film adheres? |
| You must remove the old paint film. |
| 12. Tell me the way of surface treatment before painting on the
iron plate. |
| We can clarify the way of surface treatment for two ways, the one by physical
means, and the other by means to apply chemical. Especially at the industrial
painting line, he does not only remove rust and dirt but also add the processing
film such as phosphoric acid zinc to improve the adhesion and heat resistance.
(Heat resistance will be change by the phosphoric acid zinc processing though.)

| 13. How should we treat a surface before painting for Okitsumo paint? |
Please do the work over second class Keren.
Please wipe dust and oil etc. out.

14. Tell me the way of Keren. (How to peel off the film)

| There are 1st class to 3rd class Keren, and they take different process depend
on the level of surface adjustment. Please refer to Q5 for
more details. |
| 15. How should I repaint it? |
| It depends on the condition of current paint film or the paint you will use. |
| 16. Does a heatproof temperature of your paint start from how many
degrees c? |
| We have one from 200°C. In case of cold curing, you can't paint it unless
the material surface absorbs the heat about 180°C for 20 to 30 minutes because
the film does not stiff completely. (There is no restriction if you can bake
it.) |
| 17. Can I paint your clear for a motorcycle muffler? |
| You can't. The Heatproof temperature of our clear paint is 200°C to 300°C. The temperature
of muffler rises to 500°C to 600°C, so you can't use a clear. |
| 18. In spray painting, paint often chokes the gun. |
It may be the reason that the nozzle of gun choked with little cleaning
or too little dilution to the paint. Therefore, keep the gun clean and increase
the dilution of the paint. If these are not the reason, the bore of gun may be
too big.
