Okitsumo Incorporated was founded more than half a century ago in Nabari, Mie Prefecture. It was a chaotic time, the war having just ended, when the founder and first president, Shigeji Yamanaka, began producing belt wax. Okitsumo grew in stride with the postwar Japanese economy, and has been cooperating with companies in the United States and throughout Asia. As an enterprise with the highest technological achievements in the world, we have built for ourselves a firm foundation.
Like making a flower bloom, paint makes the whole world more colorful. Like making fruit ripen, our specialty paints make the whole world more comfortable. With this in mind, as a 21st Century enterprise, we are taking a long, hard look at correcting what manufacturing is all about.
We are always wondering what hints can be found in from the things we use and look at daily, in order to turn them into something fascinating with our high tech know-how. Now we find ourselves going back to the meaning behind our particular type of product development after developing our heat-resistant paints.
We will continue to work hard at strengthening our technical capabilities so that we can continue to give you the excitement and gratification from the infinite potential that paint has. You can expect much from Okitsumo in the 21 Century.
